What is Team Fightback?
Since the general election thousands of people have joined our party. Such an influx of new campaigners is a brilliant start for Labour, but alongside them we need organisers on the ground, engaging with members and building grassroots campaigns in the
community. We’ll also face some vital elections in local government and must-win by elections along the way that will be crucial in the race to 2020. We can’t hope to match the Tories without the support of our members. Team Fightback aims to lead campaigns across the region and we want as many members as possible to sign up and be a part of it. Members can get involved by attending our campaign days and/or by donating to support the Team. We will be leading big campaign days across the region in our key areas, constituencies and wards.
We have organised a number of training events throughout the region. We are inviting new members to come along and find out why and how we campaign. The training events will last approximately one hour and equip new members with the basic skills in campaigning for labour on the doorstep.
Team Fightback is about bringing members and supporters from across the region together to campaign for Labour. Together, we can begin the battle to win back voters in Yorkshire and the Humber who chose to support other parties or not vote at all in May. We want to make sure the Labour message is heard in all of our communities.
