“THE BIG DEVOLUTION DEBATE"
Yorkshire & Humber Labour Local Government Conference 2015
Local government across our region is on the cusp of some of the most significant changes in a generation. We as the Labour Party, working hard to represent people across Yorkshire and Humber, must ensure we are at the forefront of shaping that change.
That’s why the Yorkshire and Humber Labour Local Government Conference will this year be devoted to discussing and debating devolution in our region.
The year Local Government Conference will be taking place on Saturday 17th October from 10 am.
This day-long event will take place at the historic Unity Hall in central Wakefield, close to Wakefield Westgate railway station.
It will be an occasion for you to hear from, and ask questions of, our local government leaders and parliamentarians and to make your views on this important topic known.
Our special guest speakers include our new Deputy Leader Tom Watson MP and Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government Jon Trickett MP.
We will be holding panel discussions for each of the parts or our region currently in discussions with the government about devolution and we would welcome your thoughts! We will also be holding a number of training and break out sessions.
