Labour move closer to picking challenger to Vickers in Cleethorpes

The Cleethorpes Labour Party’s selection process to choose who will take on Martin Vickers at the next election has moved into its final stages after the deadline for new applications closed on Monday.

Interest in applying for the candidacy to try and dislodge the incumbent Tory MP has been high.

A winning candidate, voted for by local members, will emerge from the subsequent selection process, involving shortlisting interviews and finally a hustings on 8th March.

selection of candadate is one big joke, cleethorpes labour party seem to think the constituency consists of the town of cleethorpes and forgets the other towns,
