Welcome to the website of the Yorkshire and Humber Labour Party. The Labour Party has a strong tradition in Yorkshire and the Humber. The region played an important part in the formation of the early Labour Party. The founding Conference of the Independent Labour Party was held in Bradford in 1893, and a Doncaster railway worker Thomas Steels brought forward the historic resolution to the TUC which formed the Labour Representation Committee.
